Mercedes-Benz is a leading automobile manufacturer based in Germany, headquartered in Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg. It is a multinational division of Mercedes-Benz Group AG, one of the most successful automotive companies globally and a prominent provider of luxury cars and vans worldwide.

Mercedes-Benz has a long history in Indonesia, beginning with the introduction of the first vehicle in the country, the Benz Victoria Phaeton, in 1894. The Mercedes-Benz company was officially established in Indonesia in 1970 and currently consists of two entities, PT Inchcape Indomobil Distribution Indonesia (IIDI) and PT Inchcape Indomobil Manufacturing Indonesia (IIMI).

PT Inchcape Indomobil Manufacturing Indonesia (IIMI) assembles its flagship passenger vehicles locally, including the A-Class, C-Class, E-Class, and S-Class sedans, as well as the GLA, GLC, GLE, and GLS SUVs. Additionally, it produces models such as the Mercedes-AMG A 35 Sedan and Mercedes-AMG GLA 35 at its expansive 42-hectare facility in Wanaherang, Bogor, West Java. In 2009, the Mercedes-Benz Indonesia plant was accredited as an automotive manufacturer with Eco-Industry certification from TUV-Rheinland.

PT Inchcape Indomobil Distribution Indonesia (IIDI) is responsible for the import and wholesale distribution of Mercedes-Benz vehicles and spare parts, as well as customer services. Mercedes-Benz consistently prioritizes environmental friendliness, efficiency, modern and luxurious design, comfort, and driving safety through the integration of cutting-edge technological innovations.
